Learn how to make a delightful Lebanese Mutabal

Mutabal is one of the Levantine ( Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine ) recipes that is served as a type of appetizer and can be prepared in many different ways. Mutabal is served alongside main course food, and you can serve it in many different ways. That is why we here at Foodys have brought to you Two distinct recipes for serving Mutabal, including the original eggplant Mutabal, chickpea ( Hummus ) Mutabal.

Eggplant Mutabal Ingredients:

2 eggplants.
A carton of yogurt.
Onion.
3 tablespoons of parsley.
2 cloves of minced garlic.
Half a tablespoon of chopped walnuts.
Lemon juice.
Half a red pepper.
2 tablespoons of Tahini.
Olive oil.

How to make it:

The eggplant is grilled in the oven until it’s completely cooked. Peel the eggplant and chop it well with a knife until it becomes small pieces. Finely chop the onions and peppers until they are finely chopped. Get a bowl and put some chopped parsley, garlic, salt and walnuts and stir all the ingredients. Add yogurt, lemon juice, and Tahini, and stir until the ingredients blend together. Add peppers, onions and eggplant, and mix all ingredients together. Serve in a serving dish and drizzle with olive oil. Enjoy it.

Mutabal chickpeas Also known as ( Hummus Mutabal ) Ingredients:

A cup of dry chickpeas.
4 tablespoons of Tahini.
Quarter cup of lemon juice.
A carton of yogurt.
A little salt.
4 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
Olive oil.

How to make Mutabal with chickpeas:

The chickpeas are soaked in water for two hours, then filtered, and placed in a pot of water on the fire until cooked. Get the electric blender and put the boiled chickpeas in it, leaving a small amount for decoration. Add tahini, yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and salt, and mix all ingredients well until we obtain a smooth mixture. Scoop into a serving dish, add olive oil and some chickpeas, and serve with happiness.
